A Stay at the Guest Ranch....Upon check in at 5 PM CST on your arrival day, each Guest receives their very own Guest Ranch HorseAfter check-in you'll meet and greet your new ‘horsey companions’ with a few carrots and apples and then get settled into your horsy themed room!   Afterwards, cool off with a tall glass of Southern Ice-Tea while soaking in the gorgeous view of the Sequatchie Valley from the back deck.

Now it's time for a leisurely 'home-cooked' country dinner at one of Sequatchie Valley's quaint little family owned restaurants, just five minutes up the valley. Back at the Guest Ranch, there’s time for a little outdoor star gazing while listening for the call of the coyotes in the valley before 'hitting the hay'...or relax & enjoy a movie on the Guest Ranch big screen... The only type of movie playing will be 'Horses' of course!

On your first day at the ranch:  Rise & Shine…before you know it, it’s breakfast time!  Oh no, not for you! The horses eat first at the Guest Ranch, so keep your boots by the bed!  After the horses are fed, enjoy your breakfast in the Biblical themed dining room or on the back deck.

Following breakfast you'll begin your first day of horsemanship training at the ranch…we'll start with horse safety, grooming, basic horse care, parts of the horse...and don't forget to clean the hooves!  Next it's time to saddle up and bridle.  Now the whole family is ready to mount up for their first  'cowboy training session' in the ring.  You'll enjoy some great family fun on horseback to develop (or improve) the skills your family will need while on the trail!   Beginners who have never been on a horse before, through riders of all levels, will enjoy this unique horsemanship skills training session!

After a couple of hours of cowboy fun in the saddle at the ranch, it's finally  time for a break!  Water the horses, get them some hay for lunch and head to the guest ranch house for some ice-cold southern sweet tea...and lunch.  But don't get to relaxed because you'll soon be back in the saddle again!

Time for cowboy training session number two at the ranch! Don't worry this time it's just another hour or so in the saddle!  Yep...just a little more cowpoke training and you'll be the best horse handler in the south!   Soon it's time to take care of your wonderful steed for the evening!  Unsaddle your horse, groom him down, feed him and then turn him out for the night.

Next it's time to for a hot shower...not to mention dinner!  How about an old fashioned game of checkers or dominos with the whole family.  Relax on the back deck enjoying the beautiful stars and listen for the coyote calls!  Time to hit the hay!

Day 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 at the ranch: Cock-a-doodle-do!  There goes that rooster again!  "Well mount up cowboys (& cowgirls) & move 'em out! …it’s time to hit the trail! That's right...after all the chores on the ranch are done it's time to put your newfound horsemanship skills to work in the wide open spaces!   Don't forget to pack your saddle bags and water bottles! After riding through one of the many picturesque country settings in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley…you'll enjoy lunch on the trail...riverside or brook side!

While the horses take a break in the shade don't forget to unpack your Cowboy Bible from your saddlebags so you can join in on our unique Bible Study - ‘What the Bible Has to Say About Horses’!     Did you know there are over 217 scriptures relating to the horse in the Bible?!

After a beautiful ride and a relaxing afternoon it's time to head back to the ranch.  No, you’re not quite done yet cowboys & cowgirls…you’ve still got to unsaddle your horse, clean your saddle and bridle, hose him down, feed him and help with the ranch chores!   Finally, another day of hard work and great family fun will soon come to a close.

Stay for two days or up to a week!  Arrive on Monday, Tuesday, Wed or Thursday at 5PM.  Stay on through Sunday and ride to church the old fashioned way...by horseback!   That's right...you'll love our 'Ride to Church' Sundays!  Enjoy a little country church in the south that welcomes us in our boots and jeans!

Stay for four days or more days and learn how to 'rope'...aboard your horse! Don't worry it's a fake cow not a real one!

Each day has a different trail ride and you will be with your horse all day long!
